Workshop on “Predictive Attention” Yields Insightful Discussions

Posted by

Dr. Siyi Chen, a junior resident at LMU CAS, orchestrated a two-day workshop (18-19 March, 2024) that brought together leading scientists to explore the concept of “Predictive Attention”. This event served as a platform for the dissemination of groundbreaking research and fostered a stimulating debate on the dynamics of active and predictive perception.

Special thanks go to those distinguished scientists who shared their latest findings. External guest speakers include: Dr. Tom Beesley (Lancaster University, UK), Dr. Sage Boettcher (University of Oxford, UK), Prof. Floris de Lange (Radboud University Nijmegen, Netherlands), Prof. Fang Fang (Peking University, China), Prof. Nikolaus Kriegeskorte (Columbia University, USA), Dr. Marius Peelen (Radboud University Nijmegen, Netherlands), and Prof. Heleen Slagter (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Netherlands). The collaborative atmosphere allowed for an enriching exchange of ideas, advancing the understanding of how our minds anticipate and react to the world around us.

Special acknowledgment is extended to Siyi, whose exemplary organization made the workshop possible, and to all guest speakers whose invaluable contributions paved the way for future explorations in the field.
