We are delighted to share highlights from the successful LMU-China Academic Network (LMU-ChaN) Workshop, which brought together leading researchers in psychological sciences from LMU Munich and our partner institutions in China. This three-day event marked not only the 10-year anniversary of LMU-ChaN but also showcased the vibrant research collaborations that have flourished across our network.

Over three inspiring days, we explored cutting-edge research spanning cognitive neuroscience, social psychology, visual attention, memory processing, and environmental psychology. The workshop featured engaging presentations, productive lab visits, and meaningful departmental dialogues that enriched our understanding of each other’s work and opened new avenues for collaboration.

This was my first experience organizing an event of this scale, and the journey taught me immensely about the power of academic partnership. The workshop’s success reflects the generous support and dedication of many individuals:

We extend our deepest gratitude to International Office at LMU and Vice President Prof. Biagini of LMU, as well as Vice President Prof. Fang of Peking University for their steadfast support and vision in fostering this international network. Special thanks go to our colleagues at the International Office, whose meticulous planning and coordination made every aspect of the workshop run smoothly.

To all our partner schools and the researchers who traveled to share their work—your intellectual contributions, thoughtful questions, and warm camaraderie made this gathering truly memorable. The photos from our sessions capture not just scientific discussions but also the genuine connections we forged (see gallery below).

As we reflect on the rich exchanges and new collaborations sparked during these three days, we look forward with excitement to continued partnerships. The conversations started here will undoubtedly grow into future joint projects, student exchanges, and research innovations that advance our field.

Thank you to everyone who made this workshop an unforgettable experience. Here’s to the next decade of LMU-ChaN—and to many more opportunities to learn, collaborate, and grow together.
